About Susan

Susan Duncombe is the Founder and Principal Consultant of Wholehearted Consulting, LLC. She holds a Master of Social Work and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She is Dare to LeadTM trained and is a Predictive Index Certified Partner. 

Susan joined the nonprofit sector in 1998 - serving as an AmeriCorps member in Atlanta, GA, followed by a year as an AmeriCorps VISTA in Denver. Since then, she has worked in non-profit organizations focusing on positive youth development, education, mental health, and housing in Denver as well as New Mexico.

With over 25 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, Susan has worn many hats, including intern, volunteer, bilingual therapist, program staff, operations staff, executive leader, and board member. She understands the intricacies of both working within and managing an organization. Having led both programming and operations, she excels in ensuring organizational alignment and achieving success.

In 2020, she founded Wholehearted Consulting to bring her comprehensive expertise to social sector leaders and organizations, helping them maximize their impact. Based in Denver, CO, Susan has worked with organizations across the United States.

Outside of spending time with family, Susan loves to sew, craft and create, engage in meaningful conversations, and eat dessert first!
